AIEF was established in 2008 in response to community demand from Indigenous families who choose
to enrol their children in boarding schools.
Bringing together the government and private sector, AIEF provides scholarship funding for
Indigenous students to complete Year 12 or tertiary studies, with career support to help them make a
successful transition to their chosen careers.
AIEF has grown from one scholarship student in 2008, to now supporting over 1,000 young Indigenous
Australians from over 400 communities from every state and territory across Australia.

Key Responsibilities
The Office Administrator role suits a highly organised and professional office all-rounder with a
friendly manner, attention to detail and mature judgement who takes pride in the work they do.
AIEF’s Reception and Office Administrator is responsible for:
- Office systems and processes, including:
o Coordination of contractors including cleaners, tradesmen
o Preparation of office and meeting rooms for meetings and functions, including
teleconference and videoconference setup
- Onsite IT point of contact
o Equipment management
o Liaison with outsourced IT contractors
- Reception and mail duties during business hours
- Travel arrangements including flights and accommodation for the AIEF team
- Administration support for the Business Services Team
- Preparation of documentation including photocopying, printing, scanning and binding
- Typing and formatting correspondence including minutes, agendas, formal emails
- Database management, spreadsheet work
- Other ad-hoc administration
