Copy Editor / Proof Reader

We are seeking an experienced copy editor and proof reader with excellent written English skills, technical editing capabilities and exemplary attention to detail. The successful candidate will have a really positive attitude, be a fast learner and be agile and capable.
We are a forward-thinking, technology focused financial services consultancy, working with some of the UK’s largest financial services firms.
You should be willing to able to work from home in the UK, from one of our offices located in Leeds or London, or a combination.
Responsibilities:
- Copy editing and proof reading sales and marketing material, including proposals
- Copy editing and proof reading operational reports for clients
- Supporting marketing with the creation of presentations and proposals
- Supporting marketing with administrative, data cleansing and research tasks
Required experience:
- 4 years+ in a similar role, preferably within a similar professional services organisation
- Educated to degree level or exhibiting similar level of English communication skills
- Strong IT skills and able to learn new software quickly
- Proficient at using MS Office (in particular Word and PowerPoint)
Required skills and attributes:
- An excellent understanding of written English
- Ability to learn, understand and communicate technical/legal concepts
- A rigorous attention to detail
- Comprehensive organisational and project management skills with the ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects at once
- A commercial awareness
- Self-motivated but able to work cohesively in a team
- Confidence communicating with and challenging all levels of seniority
Desirable skills and attributes:
- An understanding of sales and marketing processes
- Proficiency using WordPress and Adobe InDesign
