From CEO to Masterchef
Frucor
Next week, Frucor Australia CEO Alexis Daems will join more than 100 CEOs and some of the country’s top chefs to cook for more than 1000 people in need as part of Oz Harvest’s annual Cook Off.
Oz Harvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, collecting surplus food from more than 2,000 different food providers and delivering it, direct and free of charge, to more than 900 charities.
Frucor hopes to support this fantastic organisation more as part of our Growing for Good programme
In January, 30 members of the Australian Frucor team took part in the Oz Harvest ‘Cooking for a Cause’ charity event to get a first-hand look at what happens behind the scenes.
HR director Cameron Davidson says: “I know I’m not alone in feeling very inspired and energised after an amazing time making a difference with Oz Harvest.
“Our team’s now thinking about how we can bring our Frucor hungry hearts to help those with hungry tums again! We are currently brainstorming ways to work alongside this awesome cause as a potential partner.”
National business manager Phil Lovell says it was great to see the Oz Harvest team in action.
“What excites me most is that we can all play a part. It’s such a simple concept – not wasting food and giving it back to people who need it the most!
“I’m sure with Frucor’s hunger and passion we can really make an impact.”
