Our International Markets are focused on delivering the H-D strategy to build the next generation of riders, these markets support creating and fulfilling the dreams of our existing and the new riders. The International Market is made up of diverse locations within our Emerging and Developed Markets across nearly 900 dealers in circa 95 countries and is part of the larger Harley-Davidson Motor Company.


From Singapore to Greece and many places in between, our employees are essential to our success. The emerging markets region represents sales, marketing and many other associated activities of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company across nearly 500 dealers in circa 80 countries and is part of the larger International Region of Harley-Davidson Motor Company. The team works closely with the local regional office and the wider organisation including the Company Headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA).

Job Summary

This position leads the financial guidance, direction and analytical support for appropriate functional areas and all corresponding departments. It provides comprehensive financial support for assigned departments including, but not limited to revenue, margin and expense analysis along with proactive recommendations for corrective actions when needed. This position manages complex or cross-functional projects as required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for coaching others including planning and assigning projects and tasks, reviewing progress and evaluating results. It provides formal and informal mentoring to other staff members.
  • Provide business analysis with particular emphasis on understanding the business that you support.
  • Assist business leadership with the financial management of their departmental expenses.
  • Support for transfer pricing development and income tax calculation.
  • Lead the development and assist in the preparation of all budgets and forecasts for expense, capital, and headcount in the appropriate departments based on the financial planning calendar.
  • Provide monthly financial support to the business: Record month-end journal entries/accruals, assure all expenses are recorded in the month incurred, create departmental performance reports, and analyze spending variances.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting and analysis in US GAAP; submitting to the parent company within 4 days of fiscal month-end.
  • Train new analysts and managers throughout the area of responsibility and provide any necessary guidance and direction.
  • Assume leadership responsibility as necessary, including being an advocate for new ideas and serving as an example for coworkers.
  • Continuous improvement activities and projects to improve profitability and plant processes
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Required
Education Specifications
  • This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is Required. A CPA or equivalent is desired.
Experience Requirements

Required

  • Inventory, bill of material and cost accounting (standard cost and average costing).
  • Knowledge of US and BR GAAP.
  • Advanced English speaking.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Competence in the use of spreadsheets and accounting systems for the purpose of analysis and financial modeling.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Finance and experience in a variety of Finance areas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter continuously looking for process improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining the broader, analytical perspective.
  • Excellent organizational skills – ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Leadership skills.
