Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director, the District Sales Representative will be an active driver of sales within their respective region. A successful incumbent will:

  • Provide prospects and small customers product information while gathering customer specific qualification data through site visits
  • Identify new dealer opportunities using individual initiative, tradeshows, company assigned lists and field-based qualification activities to achieve sales goals.

This role lays the groundwork for a successful sales track, learning to act as a business leader for the assigned geographic area and business focus, with an understanding of SWOT analysis of a territory and practical knowledge of the products and service offerings of CGI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide prospects and small customers product information while gathering customer specific qualification data through site visits
  • Identify new dealer opportunities using individual initiative, tradeshows, company assigned lists and field-based qualification activities to achieve sales goals
  • Generate sales placement of evaluation units, specifically around new market penetration or new product adoption
  • Plan and visit assigned and unassigned areas as consistent with achieving sales goals per regular connection
  • Produce monthly written report covering highlights, key wins and sales calls/presentation completed; Proactively tracks current progress against goal, and course-corrects as needed
  • Identify opportunities for sales expansion and growth opportunities through face to face business evaluation, referrals, market/district research
  • Develop strong product and process knowledge across all Business Units to facilitate cross-selling activities
  • Maintain detailed customer information in CRM platform, ensuring all entries are updated and correct, to ensure accurate tracking of current sales and pipeline
  • Protect The Company’s reputation by keeping information confidential and maintaining a high degree of integrity
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed

Professional Experience/Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or relevant field of study

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of sales experience
  • Proven track record of developing new business, successful account management, and communicating and implementing sales strategies.
  • Proven track record of achievement, meeting and exceeding sales targets and metrics, specifically with longer sales cycles.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional teams and people with diverse backgrounds. Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales, while exhibiting marked, quantifiable, growth
  • Confident and experienced conducting cold calls and visits, turning new business from both cold and warm leads.
  • Understanding of account economics and insights; knowledge of financial issues, operations, economic contribution, working capital movements, and performance.
  • Proven ability to utilize a consultative sales approach to meet sales goals; skilled negotiation, presentation and closing skills; Strong public speaking skills
  • Able to travel up to 75% - Domestically and internationally, Valid driver’s license
  • Proficient in sales systems; mechanical aptitude
