Qualification
Education: Higher Education in Engineering, Administration or similar.
Language: Advanced English.
ERP: Desired knowledge in SAP.
Experience in national and international purchases & negotiation.
Knowledge in sourcing routines:
- -> Supplier selection & relationship management
- ensure proper supplier selection to address our business requirements in line with internal rules.
- select the right supplier management approach according to risks & stakes assessment.
- coordinate supplier assessment based on capability and competitiveness
- Manages supplier performance (Quality, Cost, Delivery)
- -> Preparing and leading negotiation with suppliers
- Prepare and send RFQ
- Achieve the best negotiation results by careful target preparation to reach identified needs
- Be able to close or break negotiation in line with your negotiation strategy
- -> Understanding the products and using technical knowledge & skills
- Understand and analyses the functionalities/requirements of a product, system or service. Also aware of main technologies involved to support and challenge internal and external stakeholders’ solutions/proposals.
- Be involved upstream with technical teams and understand technical requirements and looks for additional information when necessary.
- Able to deal with suppliers on basic technical issues, negotiation on technical specifications, technical assessment.
- Manages risk and opportunity plan with respect to the technical requirements.
- -> Contract Management & Legal Awareness
- Negotiate and establish, with suppliers, terms and conditions complying with the Company’s policies and legal rules, to secure the company's best interests.
- Ensure appropriate collaboration with legal department to achieve optimized contractual agreement
- Negotiates terms and conditions of contract and ensures proper application (compliance with GE rules & local laws)
- -> Target Costing & TCO
- Apply and use all available information to determine the best estimation of what the purchase price of the equipment or service should be.
- Understands technical, quality & industrial requirements and evaluates impacts on cost (work upstream design phase, (re)design-to-cost)
- Benchmark on a permanent basis to challenge cost
- Build cost models with the support of internal teams (technical experts, supply chain, industrial, maintenance/after-sales…)
- Build and maintain a cost database
- Takes sourcing decisions with fully understanding of the impact of the cost to the company (Total Cost of Ownership)
